Fannie Williams was a black suffragette. She was the first ever African american to graduate from what is now SUNY Brockport. When she moved to Washington DC, she wasn't expecting the racism she would face.she helped find the national association of colored women. She also made a school for women and people of color to help learn how to pay voting registration fees and pass literacy tests.
