GEORGE FRANCIS TRAIN
"Why have you been talking to Mrs.Anthony?"

George Francis Train was a businessman in the 19th century who achieved many interesting feats. For example, he’s the man that “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne was based on. But most importantly, he used his wealth to fund Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s newspaper “The Revolution,” which was crucial to the suffrage movement. It’s important to know that while he was a supporter of the suffrage movement as well as a close friend of Anthony and Stanton, Train also used the newspaper for his own political gains at times, such as when he used it to promote his presidential campaign.
