Mrs. William Force Scott was an Anti Suffragist who believed the inherent right to vote did not exist. She participated in the New York rallies and tried to persuade women that men and women were created to operate in different spheres; suffrage would negatively impact a woman’s ability to uphold her family values. Mrs. William Force Scott is an important reminder that there are always two sides of an argument.
